Dublin Zoo Director, Dr Christoph Schwitzer, said: "The launch of the new Nocturnal House, which will be home to our aye-ayes, is a wonderful moment for all of us here at Dublin Zoo. The new habitat mimics nighttime conditions allowing visitors to observe and learn about the nocturnal aye-aye's active nature. Male Peanut and female Tahiri, arrived from Bristol Zoo with their adorable offspring last September. The Nocturnal House was built specifically for a brand new lemur species, the aye-aye, which is native to the island of Madagascar. They also recently unveiled a brand new habitat for one of their newest residents. It has commenced its Conservation Master Plan, which will position the organization as a worldwide conservation leader once completed. Visitors will be given an entry form to fill out and submit to the Golden Ticket Entry Box located inside the entrance gate upon entering the zoo. The Golden Tickets will be given away every week during the month.
